Taylor started her YouTube career, first with a simple ASMR video on her phone. PewDiePie made her the focus of his gaming video shortly after she reached 50k subscribers. This was about one and a half months after posting her first video. After two months, close to 100,000 subscribers Taylor had stopped making videos for her Youtube channel, and put the entire content on private. The reason for this was technical issues with new technology and becoming overwhelmed by her popularity. After a month long break, she began making videos in the new year, such as the well-known ASMR 10 Triggers To Help You Sleep (35 million views by august 2022). ASMR Twenty Triggers to Go To Sleep the video, which became extremely popular in July 2017, is now watched by more than 38 million viewers as at August 20 2012. In August of 2017, Shane Dawson featured her during an interview. The channel also reached one million subscribers within a few days. Wired UK estimates that her YouTube advertising revenue was $1,000 per week in February 2019.
Dennis Helfer is a Canadian farmer, and Elaine Helfer, a Canadian woman, were her parents. Her parents are of German, English, Swedish and Norwegian descent. She was a student at her school, the William E. Hay Composite High School situated in Stettler (Alberta). She lived and worked on the family's grain farm alongside her three sisters: Trena, Tammy and Tara. Helfer was found at the age of 17 by a scout from a modeling agency when she was waiting in line at the movie theater.
