In 2011, Ashley was selected to voice Jessica Finch in the family comedy Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer and gained recognition in 2012 after being cast to voice several bears as well as rats in the famous animated adventure comedy Ernest & Celestine that starred Forest Whitaker Lambert Wilson and Pauline Brunner and follows the friendship between Ernest the bear and Celestine the mouse. The movie received the nods of 14 out of 29 it received, including the Oscar.
